LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- These days, every store has a membership program to join for extra perks and discounts.

Are you part of a specific one?

Target just recently announced that they are getting into the membership business, just like Amazon and Walmart.

But is it worth it?

The new program is called "Circle," and it will cost $49 for the first year and jump to $98 after.

Shoppers are voicing their concerns, saying it is not worth it and they won't spend enough with the store to cover the cost.

So what are the differences?

Target's new program offers free two-day delivery.

Walmart and Amazon also offer free delivery, but add other discounts with Walmart gas stations and Amazon Prime video.

What makes Target's membership ultimately different from the rest is the price, although it doesn't come close in terms of perks.

At the end of the day, it makes sense to subscribe to just one of the services and make it whichever one works best for you, that way you don't waste your money.
