LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Have you ever deposited money into an ATM? You may rethink that idea once you hear this.

A woman deposited $2,000 into her ATM at Bank of America. The ATM locked up, leaving her with no receipt, an incomplete transaction, and no money.

After depositing the money, the screen was spinning, then soon went black and wouldn't turn on.

Now granted, this doesn't happen every day. Most ATMs will accept cash no problem.

After Bank of America investigated, the woman was contacted and was told she would receive her money in the next billing cycle.

So, you may want to think twice about depositing large amounts of cash into an ATM, and definitely think again before doing it at an ATM not owned by your personal bank.

Make your big deposits inside during business hours, that way you don't waste your money.
