LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Ford is reportedly looking at Shelby County as a possible site for a manufacturing plant.
It would be a $400 million investment, and would qualify for millions in state tax credits. The plant is expected to create up to 260 jobs, with an average hourly wage of $36, including benefits.
"We thank the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development for its offer of support as we explore the potential for a specialized high-tech facility in Shelby County," Ford released in a statement.
The state has given preliminary approval of tax incentives for Ford, but there's no details on what they would include.Â
There's no word yet on if the project will move forward.Â
