LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former nursery in southern Indiana is up for sale.

Hidden Hill is located in Utica. Former Courier Journal and Louisville Times columnist Bob Hill and his wife on the property. But Hill posted Tuesday morning they're selling the property after 50 years.

Hidden Hill closed its full-time nursery operation in the fall of 2018. It has since been open for special events and by appointment only.

The couple hopes gardeners, plant lovers or someone interested in nature will become the next owners.

"In two words: it's time," Hill said. "I am 82, my wife is 81, we've been here 50 years. Loved every minute of it. We just can't keep it up anymore. It is not fair to us or frankly the garden."

Hill hopes the future owners will enjoy nature like he and his wife.

"Happy we are able to pass it on to somebody who hopefully will continue the tradition and loves plants like we do, who will take care of Hidden Hills like we did," Hill said.

Hill and his wife planted almost all of the plants on the property.

The eight-acre farmhouse is listed for $650,000. To view the listing, click here.
