LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A longtime Louisville-based furniture retailer is being remodeled from top-to-bottom -- and even its name is changing.
Furniture Liquidators is being re-branded as FFO Home.
The Louisville-based store chain was bought by Arkansas-based FFO Home earlier this year. As a result, the 13 stores in Kentucky and Indiana will get a new look and new products, but the biggest change will be the name.
"We did research what customers thought of Furniture Liquidators in the name and what we found out is a lot of people weren't shopping because they felt that the product was low quality," said Larry Zigerelli, president and chief executive of FFO Home. "It was 'liquidation product' because of the name."
All of the employees at the stores are keeping their jobs. In fact, the stores are bringing in more workers for expansion projects.
