LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Kentucky Bourbon Trail held steady in 2025, drawing 2.7 million visitors and matching its record-setting total from the previous year.
The milestone comes as many tourism destinations across the country face declining attendance, highlighting bourbon tourism as a reliable driver for Kentucky’s economy.
Leaders with the Kentucky Distillers’ Association say the numbers reflect continued demand for the state’s signature industry.
"Holding strong at 2.7 million visitors is a tremendous win in today’s tourism climate," said Eric Gregory, president of the association. "That consistency speaks volumes about the quality of our experiences and the passion of our distillers."
Visitors from across the U.S. and around the world continue to travel to Kentucky for distillery tours and experiences, with most coming from outside the state.
The Bourbon Trail now includes nearly 70 distillery destinations, with new locations added in 2025 as the program continues to expand.
Since its launch in 1999, the trail has grown into one of Kentucky’s leading tourism attractions, bringing in millions of visitors each year.
