LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- City leaders cut the ribbon Thursday on Kentucky Kingdom's new addition.
"Discovery Meadow" is officially complete. It's an $11 million family-friendly theme park experience meant to celebrate the spirit of Kentucky.
The new land features 6 acres with 24 new and re-themed attractions and experiences.
"Our roots run deep in Louisville and throughout the commonwealth of Kentucky, and Discovery Meadow is our love letter to this incredible region," said Sarah Worrell, general manager of Kentucky Kingdom.
Kentucky Kingdom officially opens for the season on Saturday, May 10.
