LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- There's a new series of events promoting local businesses in NuLu this year.

NuLu Nights will occur on Fridays throughout the year, giving people the chance to enjoy live music, pop-up art activations and late-night shopping and dining experiences throughout the neighborhood. Participating businesses will stay open until 9 p.m. or later.

According to a news release, there will be in-store promotions, sidewalk performances and patio pop-ups. The nights are scheduled for July 25, Aug. 22, Oct. 17 and Dec. 12. 

The first NuLu Night will include:

  • DJ Samosa near AC Hotel NuLu from 6-9 p.m.
  • DJ Quincy at the Bar Nada Nada patio from 6-9 p.m.
  • Bar Nada Nada will have an oyster bar from 6 p.m. to sellout featuring wine pairings
  • Artist Braylyn Resko Stewart will be doing some art on a bourbon barrel near Lou Lou on Market from 6-9 p.m.
  • Five Iron Golf will be hosting Friday's on the Green. There will be live music from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
  • Le Lieu will have Set & Setting Book Shop popping up and complimentary beverages
  • The Dog Shop will have frozen pup treats and special promotions
  • Six Sisters and Revelry Boutique Gallery will be open until 9 p.m.
  • Paxton's NuLu will host a pop-up with 502Fragrance
  • Other stores are expected to extend their hours
