LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A grand opening celebration was held to support a new restaurant in Louisville's west end.
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen opened in the Russell neighborhood at Broadway and 28th Street last month. People were excited for the opening, so owners wanted to hold a further celebration to give back.
The celebration included a DJ and free food giveaways.
The owners, Ace Brands LLC, own other Popeyes locations in Louisville.
"People flooded us with applications with saying how excited and supportive they were for us bringing this to this area," said Ceanna Johnson with ACE Brands. "Since then we have had outstanding support of customers coming in to dine with us, tons of repeat customers too and just continue to provide really great quality food to the area."
There are eight Popeyes in the greater Louisville area, including three in southern Indiana.
