LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former University of Louisville basketball star is taking a shot at the bourbon business.
Russ Smith signed limited edition bottles of his Mr. and Mrs. Bourbon Company brand Monday afternoon at the Liquor Barn in Middletown.
Only 1,000 of the special "Ville" bottles are being released. It's part of the company's sponsorship of the upcoming TBT tournament at Freedom Hall.
Smith said he likes connection with fans over two signatures of the state — basketball and bourbon.
"I got something in common with them, can share some memories, and put out some good, quality product and it's just been dope, getting out there, meeting people," he said.
If you missed out on Monday's signing, Smith will be at the Outer Loop Liquor Barn signing bottles again on Tuesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
