LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Churchill Downs has another major upgrade in the works.

Wednesday, Churchill Downs Inc. announced Victory Run, a project that will cost between $280 million and $300 million.

The four-story premium hospitality venue is set for the first turn of the racetrack. It will replace older seating and dining areas with private suites, indoor and outdoor dining, as well as new covered seating.

Churchill is also expanding the capacity of that section from 6,400 to about 7,800 guests.

Pending the project's approval, construction is expected to start after the 2026 Kentucky Derby and wrap up by 2028.
