LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville police are investigating after a man and woman were found shot in the Newburg neighborhood, in what they say appears to be a murder-suicide.
Louisville Metro Police were called about 6:50 p.m. Sunday to the 3400 block of E. Indian Trail on a reported shooting, department spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said.
When officers arrived, they found a man and woman who both had been shot, Mitchell said. Mitchell said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was transported to UofL Hospital where he died.
Mitchell said the shooting "appears to be murder/suicide," and LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating.
