LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Caesars Southern Indiana is combining boxing and bourbon this fall with a title fight event.

Bourbon and Boxing is a black-tie event that will feature boxing matches and premium bourbon tastings.

"Think about the greatest heavyweight of all time was from Louisville. The great Muhammad Ali," Bobby Hitz, show promoter, said. "We're going to bring future heavyweight greats here and hopefully they can come and stand in his shadow a little bit. He was truly the greatest and (a) great inspiration not only to the boxing world, but to people all over this world." 

The event is set for Sept. 13 at the casino in Elizabeth, Indiana.

Organizers said the event will feature a title fight and professional boxers from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Russia and the U.S.

This will be the first boxing event at Caesars in more than 10 years.

The boxers in the 8-card event will be announced next month.
