LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Police in southern Indiana took two kids into custody Thursday for making threats against a local school.

In a letter to families, Great Clark County Schools Superintendent Mark Laughner said front office staff at Jeffersonville High School received a threatening voicemail just after 1 p.m.

Police said no threat was found, but two students from another school were detained for making the threat.

"The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority. All threats are taken seriously and are thoroughly investigated," Laughner said. "We appreciate those who reported this concern and encourage everyone to continue following the principle: 'If you see something, say something.'"

Similar calls were reportedly made to several schools and local businesses, but police said they were not credible.
