LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A woman was arrested last week after allegedly attempting to steal motor oil from a store on Preston Highway.

In a social media post, Louisville Metro Police said Jessica Vorbrink tried to steal motor oil from O'Reilly Auto Parts at Preston Highway and East Indian Trail.

According to court documents, an employee saw Vorbrink attempt to steal two containers and confronted her before she left the business. The employee grabbed Vorbrink's bag and recovered both containers.

The employee called police and provided officers with video of the interaction, a license plate number and a photo of the suspect.

Officers recognized Vorbrink from prior police interactions.

Police said they located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop using Flock camera systems.

Vorbrink was charged with robbery, and a second person inside the vehicle at the time was arrested on outstanding warrants.

She appeared in court Monday, May 4, where her bond was set at $25,000. Vorbrink is expected back in court Tuesday, May 12, for a preliminary hearing.
