Man arrested for vandalism of Louisville shopping centers after being hired to fix the damage

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man is accused of causing thousands of dollars in damage at two Louisville shopping centers as part of a repair scheme.

Court Documents say Dashon Kilbourne and unnamed accomplices targeted both the Iroquois and Dixie Manor Shopping centers. They're accused of causing $72,000 in damage since December of last year.

An arrest report says between December 12, 2025 and May 27, 2026, Kilbourne and an accomplice were seen on video firing into both locations and driving a stolen SUV into one of the buildings. The vehicle shattered several windows and doors.

In June of 2026, Kilbourne and the accomplice were reportedly seen on surveillance video at both locations breaking multiple windows and spray painting.

A third accomplice, who is the facility manager for both shopping centers, was notified about the damages. The manager then hired Killbourne and the accomplice to repair the damages. Killbourne's arrest citation says it is believed he and "co-defendants are benefitting from financial gain for the repairs following their intentional damage to the properties."

Kilbourne is currently being held on a $100,000 bond and is due back in court Monday.

The other suspects have not been identified. We have reached out to LMPD and asked if they have also been arrested.
