LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – The stars were out in the Highlands on Friday at one of the biggest parties of the Kentucky Derby season.

The guest list for the Barnstable Brown Kentucky Derby Eve Gala includes a list of celebrities including music legends, Hollywood notables and sports stars. Past guests include Kim Kardashian, Tom Brady, Chris Pine, and Janet Jackson.

The party is considered one of the biggest events of the season. It was founded 34 years ago by twin sisters Patricia Barnstable Brown and Priscilla Barnstable, along with their mother Wilma Barnstable and Patricia's late husband, Dr. David E. Brown. 

The celebrity-packed gala, known for its musical performances by guests, has raised and donated more than $20 million, benefiting the Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center at the University of Kentucky.

Fans started putting chairs out hours before the event started — trying to get the best view of  the celebrities as they arrive.
