LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Christmas Tree Lane is open for those ready to deck the halls.

The lot at the corner of Witherspoon and Floyd Streets was a busy place Friday morning as people picked out their trees.

It's part of a downtown tradition. Vendors and their families used to sell Fraziers Firs and Scotch Pines at the Haymarket before it closed. Now, people have followed them here where they've continued the tradition.

"Fortunately, he's able to still set up here and able to come," said Bart Hamilton, who was purchasing a tree this morning. "So it's been great for us. We've made it our family tradition for about 15 years."

The lot is open everyday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., through Christmas Eve.
