LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Southern Kentucky Police have received a number of reports of clowns, including one posted to Facebook from Laurel County.

Barbourville Police say they believe the sightings are just pranksters and copycats, but they want people to stop.

They say dressing up as a clown in and of itself is not against the law but intentionally trying to scare people is where the problems start.

The clown sightings have been reported in several states.
