LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 15-year-old boy was arrested after an investigation connected to a shooting in the purple lot of Waterfront Park in April, Louisville Metro Police said Tuesday.

LMPD Sgt. Matt Sanders said a teenage boy was charged with assault after a another teenager was shot in the purple lot of Waterfront Park underneath Interstate 65 about an hour after Thunder Over Louisville. Police said the two teens knew each other and it was a targeted shooting.

The 15-year-old was arrested at his home Monday. 

Police said the teen was shot in the stomach and taken to UofL Hospital.
