LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police is investigating a police shooting in Green County that happened Sunday night.

According to Greensburg Police Department's Facebook page, an officer attempted to serve an arrest warrant for Jason Marta on Creason Lane in Greensburg. While taking him into custody, a "minor altercation" happened, according to police.

The suspect was put in handcuffs and placed inside a police cruiser. While the officer was with the suspect, Alisha Posey got into the driver's seat of the police cruiser.

Posey drove toward the officer, who shot at the police cruiser. But Posey and Marta escaped in the police cruiser. 

The police cruiser was later found empty on Marshall Ridge Road. Later in the night, police arrested Posey and Marta without injury.

Posey is charged with attempted murder of a police officer and vehicle theft. Her cash bond is set at $250,000.

Marta is charged with possession of marijuana from the incident on Sunday. He had warrants for failure to appear and for escape. His bond on the warrants is $25,000. 

Kentucky State Police are handling the investigation of the police shooting.
