LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two people are in the hospital after a shooting in the Russell neighborhood early Sunday morning.

Aaron Ellis, a spokesman for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded on a reported shooting in the 1000 block of Magazine Street just before 6 a.m.

Police found a woman with a graze wound and she was taken to the hospital alert and conscious.

According to police, officers were then advised by hospital staff that a man was brought to the hospital by private means with a gunshot wound and it's believed he was also at the scene.

Both of their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening. Their relationship is unknown at this time.

LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating.
