Justin Broyles - 2.19.26

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 19-year-old and 17-year-old were arrested in connection to a violent carjacking in Louisville's Schnitzelburg neighborhood.

Louisville Metro Police said in a Facebook post Thursday that Justin Broyles and a 17-year-old accomplice robbed a woman on Lydia Street as she was approaching her car. Police said one of them pointed a handgun at her, and the other demanded her car keys. The victim was able to run away. Broyles and the juvenile escaped in the stolen car. 

Police said about 90 minutes after the carjacking, with the help of FLOCK cameras, Broyles and the juvenile were located in the stolen car in the 3300 block of Renwood Boulevard. Both were arrested and the juvenile was found with a handgun that had the serial numbers scratched out. Police said they admitted to being involved. 

Broyles is charged with robbery and is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections.
