GREENVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) — Two men were shot and killed early Thursday morning in southern Indiana.

The Floyd County Sheriff's Office said officers were called out around 5:45 a.m. to the 6700 block of Georgetown-Greenville Road in Greenville, Indiana. Once on scene, the sheriff's office said officers found two men dead and took another man into custody.

On Thursday afternoon, the sheriff's office identified the victims as Bradley Butler, 53, and Kelly Goode, 55, both of Georgetown.

Easton Goode, 23, of Greenville, was charged with two counts of murder. Police said the victims were his father and stepfather.

Edward Parker, who said he's lived nearby for more than 40 years, said he's never seen anything like this.

I was very surprised," Parker said Thursday morning, adding he regularly takes his dogs outside in the middle of the night. "It's a very peaceful neighborhood."
