LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the fatal shooting of a 44-year-old man in Louisville's Russell neighborhood earlier this month.
Brian Harvey, 41, was charged with complicity to murder, according to officer Adam Sears, a spokesperson for the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Harvey is the second person to be charged in the death of 44-year-old Clinton "CJ" Henderson. Jose Hill, 40, was arrested June 19 and charged with complicity to murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
The shooting happened just after 1 a.m. June 4 in the 2700 block of Elliott Avenue. Officers responding to the scene found Henderson suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to court documents, Hill was seen on surveillance video approaching Henderson and getting into a verbal altercation the night of the shooting.
Police said Hill and Harvey were seen running away from the scene after shots were fired. Police said Hill was later seen "brandishing a handgun at a different location." Harvey was then identified "through investigative means."
Hill pleaded not guilty at his arraignment, and Judge Amber Wolf set his bond at $500,000.
Harvey is scheduled to be arraigned in court Wednesday morning.
