LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Three people are dead after an apparent murder-suicide Saturday evening in Laurel County.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said officers were informed at 10:43 p.m. that Barbourville City Police were in a pursuit connected to a possible domestic violence complaint. Police said three people had left a home to get something to eat.

According to reporting from WKYT, the mother of Jadence Hale called 911 saying Hale was in the car with her boyfriend, 21-year-old James Priddy, and Priddy would not let Hale or her friend, 19-year-old Lila Asher, leave the vehicle.

At the time of the chase, police were also concerned that a 5-month-old was also in the car, but the baby was later confirmed to not be with them.

"She tells me that they got proof that this female has been trying to leave him all day. Trying to get her. This male has took off with her," dispatch audio from Knox County 911 revealed.

The vehicle failed to stop for officers, which led to a pursuit from Knox County into Laurel County. Dispatch audio confirmed the chase lasted over 30 minutes, WKYT reported.

According to police, the pursuit ended after the vehicle crashed into another vehicle. Police found three people shot dead inside.

"All officers are 10-4. All 3 occupants of the vehicle have gunshot wounds to the head," dispatch audio said.

Police said all indications are that Priddy shot and killed Hale and Asher before killing himself.
