LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 44-year-old was identified as the man killed in a shooting on Sunday.
Louisville Metro Police responded to a shooting in the 1000 block of S. 26th Street around 4:30 p.m. When police arrived on scene, they found Shane Spanjers with multiple gunshot wounds.
Spanjers was taken to UofL Hospital, but he later died from his injuries, police said.
According to police, the shooting "stemmed from some type of altercation involving several people, and we believe all parties have been accounted for." Investigators are still working to determine if charges are appropriate, according to a previous release.Â
