LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Brooks Houck, the former boyfriend of Crystal Rogers who has since been charged in her murder, was recently moved to a different jail.
Houck had been in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $10 million cash bond since his September arrest. According to jail records, he was moved to the Oldham County Detention Center on Wednesday. But it's unclear why.
Houck was identified as the primary suspect in the Rogers case days after she went missing July 2015. He now faces charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence after being indicted by a Nelson County grand jury Sept. 20.
Despite several efforts by Houck's attorneys to get his bond lowered to $500,000 with GPS monitoring if posted, the Kentucky Supreme Court and state Court of Appeals have ruled the $10 million cash bond will remain in place.
Two other men, Steve Lawson and Joseph Lawson, have also been charged in the case.
Rogers was last seen during the Fourth of July weekend in 2015. Her car was left running on the side of Bluegrass Parkway with her purse still inside. She's presumed dead, but her body was never found.
Houck has pleaded not guilty.
