LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Bullitt County constable is now on the wrong side of the law.
Eric Sullivan hasn't been arrested, but he is under indictment for impersonating a peace officer. He's facing several charges, including improper use of blue lights, having a weapon on school property and official misconduct.
The indictment said he exceeded the limits of his constable powers. In Kentucky, a constable does not always have the same powers as a police officer.
According to the indictment, he activated flashing blue lights on his vehicle four times between March and November 2023 and and pretended to be a police officer.
Sullivan is also accused of having a weapon on a school campus twice.
Bullitt County Commonwealth's Attorney Bailey Taylor said he will be issued a summons to appear in court at a later date.
Sullivan didn't know about the indictments until he spoke with WDRB.
