LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police said Monday that the report of an "active aggressor" at Meyzeek Middle School turned out to be fireworks set off inside the building.
LMPD posted on X that there was a heavy police presence responded to Meyzeek on the report of an "Active Aggressor" at 11:14 a.m.

They immediately said they believed the call to be false. Officers who responded to the scene found fireworks debris in the school, LMPD said.
By 11:25 a.m., LMPD said additional units called to the scene were canceled, and there was no threat.
LMPD said Jefferson County Public School's police will handle the investigation.
