JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) -- Police are still searching for a 19-year-old in connection to a fatal shooting in Jeffersonville and his missing girlfriend.

Jeffersonville Police initially responded to a shooting in the 200 block of Kopp Avenue at 10:20 p.m. Nov. 21. Police said a 33-year-old man had been shot.

The victim, LaWayne Brownlee, died at the hospital the next day.

Police identified the shooter as Anthony White, a Jeffersonville teen. Police conducted a search warrant at White's home at Greenwood Apartment complex, but he wasn't there.

According to a news release, police made direct contact with White through his family and arranged to meet with him. But White didn't appear at the scheduled appointment, so a warrant was issued for White for the offense of murder.

Police are also looking for his girlfriend, 19-year-old Andre'a Peoples who was reported missing by her mother on Monday. She was last seen on Nov. 22 near 6th and Broadway in Louisville.

Peoples was also last seen in the company of White. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie, white pants with hearts and brown Ugg slippers.

"We're just concerned about her well being now and want to ensure her safety," said Det. Lt. Samuel Moss with the Jeffersonville Police Department.

According to police, White is now believed to be outside their jurisdiction and multiple agencies are assisting them in trying to find him.

They also believe White is armed and dangerous.

Anyone with any information about White's whereabouts are asked to call Jeffersonville Police Department Detective Division at (812) 285-6535 or the police department's anonymous tip line at (812) 218-8477.

"It's kind of added a new layer to our investigation," Moss said.

On Wednesday a Louisville man was arrested in connection to another homicide in Jeffersonville.

William Davis, 55, of Louisville, was arrested on a warrant out of Clark County Wednesday afternoon, according to Moss.

Moss said Davis was believed to be in Louisville, so Jeffersonville Police coordinated with Louisville Metro Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit to assist in the arrest. LMPD arrested Davis.

"We work alongside, with them all the time. We have a great working relationship, and we're extremely grateful for the partnership that we have with that agency and it just pays off time and again in cases such as this," Moss said about working with LMPD.
