LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — One man is dead and another is in the hospital after a shooting in Louisville's St. Denis neighborhood Friday evening.
According to Louisville Metro Police Spokesperson John Bradley, officers were dispatched on a reported shooting in the 3100 block of Melody Acres Lane. That's off Cane Run Road, near the intersection of Rockford Lane.
Bradley said when officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot. Police also found another man shot at the Marathon gas station at the corner of Cane Run Road and Rockford Lane.
Bradley said both men were transported to UofL Hospital. The man who was shot on Melody Acres Lane was transported in critical condition, but died later at the hospital, Bradley said.
Another man found shot at the Marathon gas station is in serious condition, according to Bradley.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is leading the investigation, Bradley said.
