LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a shooting in Louisville's Russell neighborhood Friday night.
Officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 500 block of South 18th Street around 8 p.m., according to Louisville Metro Police Spokesperson Dwight Mitchell. That's near West Muhammad Ali Boulevard, not far from West Broadway.
Once on scene, officers found a man who had been shot in the chest, Mitchell said. The man was transported to UofL Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Due to the nature of the man's injuries, LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating. There are currently no suspects.Â
