Police in Oldham County search for driver that hit and killed elderly woman on US 42

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Oldham County Police are searching for a driver that killed an elderly woman walking along US 42.

In a news release Tuesday, OCPD said officers responded about 7 p.m. Monday to a report of a woman found laying the grass on US 42 between KY 53 and Smith Lane.

Investigators believe the woman was hit by a car that left the scene. Police identified the victim as Margaret E. Preble, 75, of La Grange.

Exact details of the incident remain under investigation.
