LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Hillview man is accused of leading police on a chase for more than an hour before a Kentucky State Police trooper ended it with a pit maneuver.

Gilberto Rosario, 21, had two active warrants at the time Louisville Metro Police officers tried to pull him over late Wednesday night, according to court documents. Police said Rosario was seen by officers at Bluelick and South Park roads around 11:10 p.m., but when they pulled up behind him, Rosario did donuts in the intersection before driving the wrong way in the northbound lanes of Bluelick Road.

Police said Rosario continued as officers chased him, narrowly missing passing cars as well as an officer all while his headlights were turned off. KSP eventually took over the chase, at which point they clocked Rosario going as fast as 130 mph. The chase went from Interstate 65 to Interstate 264 to Interstate 64 to Interstate 265 and even Taylorsville Road.

Then, on Routt Road near Plum Creek Trial, a KSP trooper performed the second of two pit attempts, damaging a cruiser but ending the chase after nearly 1 hour and 20 minutes. Rosario was arrested there.

He appeared in court in Louisville on Friday morning, when a not guilty plea was entered. He's charged with four counts of wanton endangerment of a police officer and several drug- and traffic-related offenses.
