LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Tennessee man died Wednesday evening after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 near Elizabethtown.
Kentucky State Police said 50-year-old Jeffrey Simonton, of Clarksville, Tennessee, was driving northbound on I-65 in the southbound lanes.
Simonton then crashed into a truck and semi-trailer head-on. Simonton was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased on the scene.
Neither of the drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The driver of the truck was taken to UofL Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
