LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man crashed into a Louisville restaurant near the Highlands Wednesday evening after he suffered a medical emergency.
Louisville Metro Police were called to the 2100 block of Bardstown Road just before 7 p.m. for a vehicle into a building, department spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said. That's near Douglass Boulevard in the Deer Park neighborhood.
Mitchell said the driver suffered a medical emergency and lost control of the car, smashing into the side of Twig and Leaf restaurant.
Two employees inside the restaurant suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver was taken to University of Louisville Hospital in serious condition, Mitchell said.
