LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A tractor-trailer crashed on I-71 Thursday morning, shutting down the northbound lanes near the I-264 split and sending the driver to the hospital.
It happened around 11:45 a.m., according to a news release from an LMPD spokesperson. That's when LMPD's Traffic Unit responded to a a report of an overturned semi tractor-trailer on the exit ramp from I-71S to I-264W. The driver was trapped in the cab, and had to be pulled out by Louisville Fire & Rescue crews.Â
He was taken to UofL Hospital, but his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, according to the news release. No other vehicles were involved.Â
The roadway reopened just before 4 p.m.Â
