LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Two students are facing criminal charges after recent threats against Ballard High School.Ā 

A message sent to parents from Ballard Principal Jason Neuss said JCPS Police identified two students who allegedly made two separate and unrelated threats against the school "in the past couple of days."Ā 

Neuss said the students "are facing criminal charges and will be disciplined in accordance with the Student Support and Behavior Intervention Handbook."

At least one of the threats was made on Snapchat over the weekend.Ā 

Ballard increased security at the school Monday after receiving the threats.

In his message to parents, NeussĀ stressed that students must "understand that their words have serious consequences. Should they make any threat involving Ballard, our staff or students, they will be disciplined and likely be prosecuted. He also reiterated that if you "see something, say something."Ā
