LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More than 100 Jefferson County Public Schools families had their arms full of items they need to make the school year the best it can be.
Saturday morning, 120 prescheduled families browsed bins of donated items in downtown Louisville.
It's all part of the JCPS Clothing Assistance Program. Many of the families left with bags of items from shoes and toiletries to toys and household goods.
"Sheets, linens, these are all things that generous donors have given to us throughout the year and we are just sharing this with JCPS families who signed up today," said Justin Willis, JCPS parent relations coordinator.
The JCPS service coordinator will help families sign up for the clothing assistance program.
