LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- After more than five hours in executive session Monday, Nelson County Schools' Board of Education took no action against Superintendent Wes Bradley.
A special called meeting was held at the central office in Bardstown to discuss Bradley's evaluation and performance. The meeting could have led to promotion, discipline or another action. People from around the community sat and waited for the board to come out of the meeting.
The school wouldn't take questions after the meeting ended Monday or explain what prompted the meeting.

In January, the school board opted for Bradley to remain in his position. The school board held a special meeting after board member Tracy Bowling made a Facebook post that said board member Diane Berry told her she has the four votes needed to dismiss Bradley.Â
The school district has been under scrutiny by parents, teachers, and community members after the board approved a plan to merge Boston Middle School and New Haven Middle School with Old Kentucky Home Middle School.
The merger is part of Nelson County's Connected Campus Plan to consolidate schools and reallocate resources. It's the same plan that calls for merging Thomas Nelson High School into Nelson County High School.
Many community members and parents are against the mergers. Last October, student and teacher protests voicing their frustrations over the plan closed school for two days. Some school board meetings over the last year have been packed by members of the community voicing their opposition to the possible merger.
A recent board meeting had to be adjourned early due to heated arguments between parents and board members.
Just weeks ago, parents and teachers packed a Nelson County district courtroom for a status hearing, where the judge reminded them to maintain civility during board meetings.Â
A group of parents had already taken their merger concerns to a court filing in a civil lawsuit against Bradley and the Nelson County School Board.
Earlier this year, the board's attorney, Eric Farris, resigned over "ethical concerns."
