LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB)---A film chronicling the worst drunk driving crash in American history screened Saturday at a Louisville film festival.
"Impact: After the Crash" tells the story of the 1988 Carroll County Bus Crash that killed 27 people.
Filmmaker Jason Epperson worked on the film with survivors and victim's family members.
The documentary screened today at the Louisville International Film Festival.
"It's a powerful film it gives a face and the story to a real tragic event in our state and country's history," says Bruce Barnett who attended the screening.
"It humbles me that this film has gone in the interest of those in that sector and I think we welcome to the opportunity to get this film in as many venues as we can," says Harold Dennis, who survived the crash.
Earlier this week, law enforcement from across the country watched the film at a local conference to examine what authorities have learned from the crash.
