LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A fire in Louisville's Portland neighborhood destroyed a garage Friday morning.
The Louisville Fire Department the blaze began around 9:30 a.m. off 35th Street and Pflanz Avenue. That's not far from Portland Elementary School.
On scene, WDRB News crews saw at least two firefighters on the roof of a home and several firefighters on the ground outside the garage. Firefighters eventually knocked down the remaining charred wood frame of the garage.
According to Louisville Fire officials, no one was inside the garage and there were no injuries reported. Siding was damaged on the side of a home and it appeared a tree house in the backyard was also damaged from the heat.
The cause of the fire is still unknown and is under investigation.
