LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- There's a new place to shop along Dixie Highway.
Today, Goody's department store held a grand opening for its newest store in the Dixie Manor Shopping Center. The store employs 25 associates and sells name brand clothing, accessories, cosmetics and shoes.
Goody's doesn't normally open stores in large cities, but there's a reason why they chose to locate to this part of Louisville.
"It felt like more of a neighborhood setting," said Bob Moberly, a Goody's district manager. "We have a store down in Nashville, Tennessee, and it's sort of the same neighborhood setting as this area of Louisville. Particularity, on Dixie Highway, so it's more of a neighborhood setting."
This is the 34th Goody's location in Kentucky.
