LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- U.S. health officials say 2019 was the worst year for the measles in 27 years.
In 2019, there were more than 1,200 cases of the measles in the United States. A majority of the cases were among people who were not vaccinated against the virus.
Health officials said 31 states, including Kentucky and Indiana, had confirmed cases. More than three quarters of the cases originated in New York.
