LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A first grader at Jefferson County Public Schools got a Spider-Man-themed shopping spree on Saturday.

JCPS bus driver Larry Farrish Jr. was driving Levi, a first grader, to Engelhard Elementary School when he noticed his drastic behavioral change. The usual happy boy was sad and tearfully told Farrish he didn't have pajamas for Pajama Day at school.

After finishing the route, Farrish bought two pairs of pajamas and brought them to the school for Levi to keep.

"Mr. Larry decided to help me, I had a great time," Levi said. "Thank you for the pajamas, thank you Mr. Larry."

After pictures were posted on social media, the act of kindness went viral. People as far away as England, Norway and Portugal reached out to JCPS.

The two even traveled to New York City this week for an appearance on the Tamron Hall Show. It is expected to air March 1st.

On Saturday, Levi and his family went on a shopping spree thanks to Southend Street Angels. The family picked out shoes, pajamas, clothing and toys.

"Wow, what? Just for me," Levi said when Farrish gave him Spider-Man toys. The six-year-old jumped around and then hugged Farrish.

"Oh my goodness, I can't believe I am actually here," Levi said when walking down the toy aisle.

When Levi would pick something out, he would moonwalk like Michael Jackson.

South End Street Angels bought the family a new washing machine and some groceries. The local nonprofit raised more than $2,000 for the family.

The outing ended with lunch at McDonalds.
