LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The watermelon that took the blue ribbon at the Kentucky State Fair is the largest on record in the current growing season in the United States.

Frank Mudd of Meade County grew the watermelon, which weighs in at 273.3 lbs. 

It's also one of the five largest watermelons ever grown.
