LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Independence Day weekend is over, but Kentucky’s commemoration of the nation’s 250th anniversary is continuing.
Registration is now open for the 2026 Kentucky Veterans Parade and Celebration, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7, in Louisville's NuLu neighborhood.
The annual event honors the men and women who have served in the U.S. military while continuing the state's commemoration of the nation's 250th birthday.
Veteran service organizations, employers and community groups with ties to veterans are encouraged to register a parade unit and take part in the celebration.
Community members can also nominate a veteran who has made a lasting impact through military service. Twelve veterans will be selected to participate in the parade and be recognized during the event.
