Kosair Shrine Circus presents fun for the whole family

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Elephants, tigers and clowns will soon make a big comeback at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

The Kosair Shrine Circus will be at Broadbent Arena from May 7-9 with aerialists, a motorcycle sphere, elephants and ponies.

There are six shows with ticket prices starting at $11.60. They'll be set up with socially distanced seating and reduced capacity.

Tickets are being sold in pods with empty seats between groups and masks are required.

Officials said the last year has been hard, but they're looking forward to the future.

"We were shut down from March until January," said Robert Hart with the Kosair Shrine. "Not being able to do the things we do in the community, see the kids out and about at different functions and seeing smiles on the parents' and kids' face — that's really what we're about, what we do and we live for that each and every day."

The circus is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Kosair Shrine.
