LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Music and poetry filled the air in Old Louisville all with a message of hope.

Locals of Liberation hosted a music and poetry show Sunday at the Chapel of St. Philip Neri.

The show featured musical performances, poetry, education and a silent auction all to raise awareness and funds for aid in Lebanon and Palestine.

It was open to everyone of all ages. Organizers and performers said it's away to show support.

"Art and imagination is one of the first things that we find freedom in and can be free for a little bit of time," Locals of Liberation board member Scott Mottola said.

The proceeds for the event went to benefit the political awareness group The Peace Dove and Tunefork Studios, which is an art space in Beruit.
